Sidroco Holdings Ltd. is thrilled to announce its participation in the final event of the Smart5Grid project. This event marks a significant milestone for the project and underscores its commitment to producing realistic 5G-enabled applications for the energy sector. The event took place in Brussels on April 9th with members of the consortium and external guests. It focused on the technical and scientific achievements of the projects that took place throughout the project’s lifespan.
Our colleague, Anastasios Lytos, represented us, providing his technical expertise in the development of 5G-enabled Network Applications. Sidroco led the development of the UC2 Network Applications, developing an application capable of detecting human motion within a predefined space. The application was deployed on the edge, in a primary substation belonging to e-distribution, in Barcelona, Spain, and is integrated into the Smart5Grid platform.
Sidroco is dedicated to contributing to technological advancements and becoming a point of reference in research and development, both at the national and European levels. The opportunity to participate in highly sought-after research projects indicates the capacity of our team and our technical competency even in the most challenging environments.
