Dr. Antonios Sarigiannidis received the B.Sc. degree in Information Technology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2007 and the M.Sc. degree in Communication Systems and Technologies, specializing in advanced optical and wireless technologies, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2009. He obtained his Ph.D. in Information Technology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2016. His Ph.D. thesis includes the development of bandwidth allocation algorithms in Communication Networks. His research interests include machine learning mechanism and optimization techniques as well as visualization techniques regarding analytics, big data and security analysis. Recently, he has been involved in IoT and M2M research towards coverage analysis and security services. He actively participates in both national and EU-funded projects.
Dr. Elisavet Grigoriou (female) received her B.Sc. in “Informatics” (2012) and her M.Sc in “Web Intelligence”(2015) from Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki (Thessaloniki, Greece). She has experience as “Internet-of-Things” Engineer in “MyCompany Projects” Company (Thessaloniki, Greece). She was an Early Stage Researcher on QoE-Net Project (Horizon2020) during her Ph.D. studies at the University of Cagliari in Italy (Faculty of Engineering) under the supervision of Prof. Luigi Atzori and Prof. Virginia Pilloni. The topic of her Ph.D. was related to “Quality of Experience management strategies for future smart networks”. She received her Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Cagliari (Italy) in 2020. She was Visiting Researcher in Deutsche Telekom (Berlin, Germany) and in CSSN Lab in Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki (Thessaloniki, Greece), and Research Analyst in ITU (Geneva, Switzerland). Her other major research interests include Quality of Experience, Software Defined Networks, Semantic Web, Internet-of-Things and Augmented Reality. She actively participates in both national and EU-funded projects.
Dr. Dimitrios Margounakis is a scientific researcher in the field of computer technology. He concluded his basic studies in Informatics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2003. He holds a Master’s certificate in Business Computing from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2005) and a Ph.D. in Computer Music from the Dept. of Informatics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2013). His research interests include computer science, business management and programming. He actively participates in EU-funded projects.
Anastasios Lytos holds a diploma in Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Western Macedonia. During his studies, he gained twice a scholarship from the Engineers’ and Public Contractors’ Pension Fund (TSMEDE). His research interest involves the exploitation of the current Machine Learning techniques in Text Mining problems, the successful modeling of Natural Language and the optimization of algorithms. He participates as a software engineer in national and EU-funded projects.
Paris-Alexandros Karypidis received the Diploma degree (5 years) from the Dept. of Informatics and Telecommunications Eng., University of Western Macedonia, Greece, in 2016. He has been with SID since 2017. His main research interests are in the area of big data analytics and mainly focus on machine learning and visualization. He participates as a software engineer for national and EU-funded projects.
Theocharis Saoulidis received his B.Sc. in “Informatics” (2019) from Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki (Thessaloniki, Greece). He participated in Erasmus+ programme and he visited the University of Cagliari and during this period he participated in many research projects related to 4G/5G, Quality of Experience (QoE) and Software Defined Networks (SDN). He has published research papers in important conferences such as IEEE ICC. His major research interests include Machine Learning, Software Defined Networks, Network function virtualization, Internet-of-Things and Cybersecurity. He participates as a software engineer for national and EU-funded projects.
Mr. Eleftherios Fountoukidis is a scientific researcher in the field of information security. He received the B.Sc. degree from the Dept. of Applied Informatics and Multimedia of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete. His research interests include information security, web applications and Internet-of-Things. He is with SID since 2021.
