Job description:

You will undertake tasks related to the administrative, financial, and legal management of EU-funded R&D projects, contributing directly to the development, monitoring, and annual revision of the Project Management Plan and Quality Assurance Plan. You will maintain active communication and high-quality reporting with the consortium partners, utilizing collaborative digital workspaces and a rigorous peer-review system to ensure timely, compliant deliverables. Additionally, you will execute data management workflows aligned with FAIR principles and GDPR, while tracking Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and enforcing publication clearance policies to protect consortium knowledge. Finally, you will drive the project’s impact by contributing to the dissemination and communication strategy, fostering active synergies with major initiatives such as Copernicus and Destination Earth, and developing exploitation frameworks tailored to Blue Economy priorities, while formulating policy recommendations and mapping standardisation opportunities for climate and ocean management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology such as informatics, engineering or related fields.
  • MSc or PhD in informatics, engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in EU-funded projects.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive, self-driven and able to operate independently with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to develop research & scientific results.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Contribute to administrative, financial, and legal management of EU-funded R&D projects to ensure full alignment with European Commission guidelines.
  • Support the development and annual revision of the Project Management Plan (PMP) to establish clear governance structures and monitor work progress.
  • Implement quality and risk management procedures in accordance with the project’s Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).
  • Participate in the project’s peer-review system to validate deliverables for completeness, readability, and consistency before submission.
  • Contribute and participate in R&D deliverables in cooperation with the R&D company teams.
  • Execute data management workflows in compliance with the Data Management Plan (DMP), FAIR data principles, and GDPR regulations.
  • Support Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) tracking, ensuring compliance with the Consortium Agreement and protecting background/foreground knowledge.
  • Contribute to the execution of the Engagement, Dissemination, and Communication Strategy to maximize project visibility and impact.
  • Develop communication materials and tools, including presentations, newsletters, branding guidelines, and digital content for the project website.
  • Foster synergies and joint actions with complementary initiatives, target clusters (Cluster 4, 5, 6), and large-scale programs like Destination Earth and Copernicus.
  • Conduct patent searches and novelty assessments to identify exploitable results and support freedom-to-operate analysis.
  • Enforce the publication clearance policy to safeguard business know-how and confidential data prior to public release.
  • Contribute to transforming the project results to research outcomes and scientific reports and manuscripts.
  • Contribute to the project’s exploitation framework and plan, aligning market uptake strategies with Blue Economy priorities.
  • Formulate policy recommendations and map standardization opportunities to align R&D outcomes with international standards and maritime/climate policy objectives

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in participating in EU-funded R&D/R&I projects such as H2020, Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg, EDF, Digital Europe or similar.
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in informatics, engineering or related fields.
  • Strong scientific or academic record.
  • Experience in user/market analysis or technology commercialization.
